Cumberland Farms / EG America SmartPay app

Responsible for...
UX | UI | Heuristic Review | Wireframing | Prototyping | Information Architecture

EG America owns thousands of regionally branded convenience stores across the United States. Their brands include: Cumberland Farms, Certified Oil, Fastrac, Kwik Shop, Loaf N Jug, Minit Mart, Quick Stop, TomThumb, and Turkey Hill. New Englanders would be most familiar with Cumberland Farms, which are everywhere in New England and Florida.

I was asked to do a review of and recommend improvements to their SmartPay app. The SmartPay app lets customers connect their credit or debit cards to their SmartPay account. They are then able to pay for gas, groceries, and food, using the app. SmartPay can be used across the United States at any of EG's regionally branded stores and will be available soon to many thousands of European stores owned by EG America's parent company, the EG Group. Keep scrolling for a description of the UX process.

HERE'S WHAT I DID...

I signed up for SmartPay, downloaded the app, and reviewed it

I went through the screens and pointed out flaws in the current UX, UI, and information architecture. Then, I recommended changes to make it more understandable, usable, and accessible.
